Founder
Hi, I'm Doug. I've spent over 45 years working in engineering and facilities management, including time in the billion dollar travel trailer industry. I've seen it all - big projects, small projects, and everything in between - and I've learned that doing it right the first time matters.
I also owned and ran a multi-million dollar tool and die business, which gave me hands-on experience in fabrication, custom tools, mold building, and project management. That combination of practical skills and engineering know-how lets me solve problems efficiently and get the job done right, on time, and without surprises.
I offer a mix of handyman services and engineering consulting, helping homeowners and businesses alike with repairs, installations, custom projects, or facility improvements.
My goal is simple: provide reliable, precise, and trustworthy service, backed by decades of experience you can count on.

How are Handyman service calls and labor billed?

Labor Rates for Local Service Area
(Northeastern Indiana - within 50 miles)

Each addition hour is billed at $75 per hour, in 15-minute increments

Because there is a one-hour minimum, we recommend having a small backup task in mind in case we finish your primary project early.
Labor Rates for Extended Service Area & Travel Locations
(Beyond 50 miles or scheduled service trips - including Nashville, TN and Leesburg, FL)

Multiple Technicians:

If your project requires more than one handyman, each additional technician is billed at the same rate as the primary technician - $75 or $99 per hour (depending on location). Any time beyond the initial hour is billed at the same hourly rate, in 15-minute increments.
Additional Costs:

Materials, specialty hardware, dumpster fees, and supply runs (if needed) are billed separately.
Custom or Larger Projects:Add

Some specialty projects or large-scale jobs may require custom pricing. We will review scope and pricing with you in advance, so there are no surprises.
Estimates & Final Costs:

Estimates are based on the information provided and our 45+ years of experience. Final costs may adjust if site conditions or project scope changes once work begins.
How do I get started?

Getting started is easy. Simply complete the Booking Form at the bottom of the page.
You can upload photos of your project (JPEG only) and describe what you need. A member of our office will contact you within 24-48 hours to provide an estimate and schedule your service. We will coordinate details by email, and if needed, by phone or text.
Some projects may require an on-site estimate. If so, that visit will be included in your final invoice.
If you have more than 4 photos or any videos to share, please email us directly at doug@myprecisionhandyman.com and we will be happy to assist you.
What materials do I need?

We ask clients to supply any specific fixtures or finish items they would like installed, such as lights, faucets, toilets, shelving, tile, or custom doors.
For projects involving paint, grout, or other color-specific materials, we recommend that you provide those items to ensure the exact color and finish you want.
If we purchase materials on your behalf, a 20% markup will be applied to cover ordering and handling. Dumpster fees, if required, are billed separately and vary depending on the type and weight of materials.
If you are unsure what to purchase, we are happy to guide you before your appointment.
What is your payment process?

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and ACH transfers.
Our technicians can securely process card payments on-site using a mobile card reader. We do not store your financial information.
Balances not paid at the time of service may be subject to a 1.5% service charge, with additional interest applied after 30 days.
If you have any questions about payment before your appointment, we are happy to review everything with you in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please email us at doug@myprecisionhandyman.com. We will gladly work with you to find a more convenient time.
Appointments canceled less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
